We also have another cat named "Kitty" that we rescued on a winter day from the barn where we used to stable our horses. Her mother and siblings had been killed and her eyes were not fully opened. It was supposed to be 20 degrees that night and I knew she would not live. So we had a new kitty! We raised her on a special kitten milk and a kitten nursing bottle from the local farm supply. She slept in a box on a hot water bottle with an old rabbit fur coat on top of it. It was a lot like her mama. My husband, daughter, and I took turn bottle feeding her, washing her, warming her milk, and refilling her hot water bottle. It was like having a newborn baby again! She thinks she is a human!

Jasmine's World - our Birman cat
Welcome to Jasmine's home on the web. I was inspired to blog about our Birman cat, Jasmine, by Sachie and Goma from mycatgoma.com. Thanks! I've always wanted to blog, but what about? We received Jasmine from a lady who no longer wanted to keep her. I guess she was about a year old. She was very shy and only would let my daughter, Shelby, hold her. We have had her amost 6 years and she is a real family member. She loves everybody except she is scared of our seven year old son, who torments the kittehs! Not really! But kittehs do not respond well to his version of "play." Jasmine is exceptionally beautiful and we love having her in our family!
